In 2007, Ora had her first music release when she appeared on Craig David’s track Awkward. In 2008 she featured on Where’s Your Love featuring Tinchy Stryder. Not bad for someone starting out.

In 2009 Rita entered the talent contest Eurovision: Your Country Needs You but withdrew because she did not feel ready for it. Wise decision.

She kicked off singing in bars in and around London, and in 2009 was spotted by someone from record label, Roc Nation. Within days Ora was a on a flight over to New York to meet Jay Z. She was signed straight up and began there, starting by having a cameo on Jay's video Forever Young.

In February 2012, Rita provided the vocals for DJ Fresh’s Hot Right Now, which reached the No. 1 spot on the UK Singles Chart. Her debut single, RIP also topped the chart in May 2012 with her latest release Party and BS (How we do) going straight to No. 1 in August 2012. So, two songs - both number ones - go on Rita!

Her debut album, Ora is due for release in October 2012. She’s been working on the material for almost two years, getting help from stars like Kanye West and Chase and Status.

During much of 2012 she was touring with Coldplay - but with her success it sounds like she'll be headlining alone soon.

She’s been dating Rob Kardashian since late 2011. She also dated Calvin Harris until 2014.
