What joy! Amal Clooney is pregnant... with twins!
Yes, sorry Beyonce and Jay-Z - it turns out you're not the only A-list couple welcoming two new additions in 2017, as George and Amal Clooney have announced that they're expecting two bundles of baby joy too!
Although the couples' representative is yet to comment, it's known that the babies are due in June. Summer babies - how lovely!
The news was confirmed by US talk show host Julie Chen, who announced it on her show, The Talk.
George's close friend Matt Damon then commented on the pregnancy when he spoke to Entertainment Tonight Canada yesterday. The actor said: "They're going to be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky."
It turned out that Matt was one of the first people to know, when George confided in him whilst they were working together last Autumn: "I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I almost started crying.
"I was so happy for him. And I was like, 'How far along is she?' And he goes, 'Eight weeks'.
"I said, 'Are you out of your mind? Don't tell anybody else! Don't you know the 12-week rule?' Of course he doesn't. I was like, 'just shut up, man'."
George, 55, and Amal, 39, wed in a star-studded ceremony in Venice in 2014.
And while we hate to say, I told you so, regular Closer Online readers will know that we actually gave you a heads-up that Amal was preggars with twins back in early January!
The rumours began when the couple attended a screening of Netflix documentary The White Helmets in London.
Top lawyer Amal, wore a floral mini-dress, and although she looked as slender as ever, celeb-spotters couldn't help but noticing there was the slightest hint of a bump beneath her dress.
Talking about the possibility that she was preggars with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold, commented: "It looks like a cheeky little baby bump under where. It could be the floaty frock or is it indeed a bit of wind?"
But that's not everything!
Now US publication In Touch are claiming that Amal is not only pregnant, but she's pregnant with TWINS!
In Touch have reported that a source close to Amal revealed: “Amal is pregnant with twins: a boy and a girl,”
“When George and Amal found out it was twins they were surprised, but also a little scared because they both had said that one was enough. But the news that it was a boy and a girl made them both really happy. They feel like they’ve hit the family jackpot.”
Whatever's happening, George, 55, and Amal seem to be keeping very tight-lipped about it for now. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled though!
