See, celebrities are just like us!

Parents around the country are waving off their little’uns to nursery, primary and secondary school this week after a fun-filled summer holiday – with mums and dads everywhere uploading photos of their pride and joy in their glistening new uniform for friends and family to see.

And celebrity parents are no different! Elton John, Wayne Rooney, Amanda Holden have all joined the back to school party, sharing sweet snaps on social media.

We've rounded up some of our favourites below...

**Wayne and Coleen Rooney **

Footballer Wayne, 30, posted an adorable snap of his sons Kai, six, and Klay, three, just before heading off on the school run.

He wrote: 'Proud dad this morning. First day back at school for my boys.'

Coleen echoed his sentiments by posting a beautiful collage on Instagram.

**Kerry Katona **

Singer Kerry shared an adorable snap of her children Max, Heidi and DJ, all ready for their first day. Just look at Heidi’s on-trend pigtails – super cute!

She tweeted: “Just look at how handsome and beautiful max n Heidi look first day back at school! DJ getting in on the act too.”

Amanda Holden

The Britain’s Got Talent judge was overcome with emotion as four-year-old Hollie got ready for her first day at primary school.

Sharing a close-up shot of her shiny new shoes, Amanda wrote: "First day of school. Mama is a mess!"

Elton John

Music legend Elton shared this candid picture of his two sons Zachary, five and Elijah, three, walking to school.

He simply wrote: "Back to school #ShareTheLove."
