Love at first sight is all very well but sometimes it can take a little longer to fall in love.
And that's certainly what happened when Eastenders actress Lacey Turner first met her now husband Matt Kay.
The pair were married in Ibiza recently and as reported in OK! Magazine, Matt revealed how they first met in his wedding speech and that while he was smitten immediately, Lacey didn't feel the same way.
He said: “Lacey, I remember the first time I ever met you, sitting there in your Kappa tracksuit bottoms, with your cockney accent, a proper Borehamwood girl. The first one I had ever encountered. I was love struck.”
Adorable!
The barber shop owner then added that Lacey originally thought he was 'a little lairy know-it-all' which Lacey confirmed to the publication.
The actress said: "At first I wasn’t too keen on Matt as he was arrogant and - as he said in his speech - a lairy know-it-all, but I did start to think he was quite funny and we grew to be friends and now we’re married!”
The couple's wedding was a 'dream' according to Lacey who looked beautiful in a champagne hued gown with a tulle skirt and sheer bodice with pretty floral appliqué.
The ceremony took place at sunset and their guests enjoyed pulled pork, roast chicken and plenty of Spanish sangria as they celebrated the childhood sweethearts' marriage.
