He became a global hit after starring in BBC 1's award winning series Sherlock and now Benedict Cumberbatch is Hollywood's most wanted lead heartthrob, appearing as a buff superhero in Marvel's epic Doctor Strange.
Posing with his pregnant wife Sophie Hunter, 38, who is also mum to his one-year old son Christopher, at the launch of his new film at Westminster Abbey, multi-millionaire Benedict is clearly on cloud nine.
And as we catch up Benedict on the red carpet, he's extremely laid back, sipping on a tumbler of water and laughing off any suggestion that he's a sex symbol to millions of avid fans, who have labelled themselves "Cumberb*tches."
"I don't think of myself as this huge Hollywood star," smiles Benedict, 40, at the Doctor Strange launch event at Westminster Abbey .
"I have a new family and I have close friends who have known me since I first started and don't think of me like that! They're always happy to remind me who I am, which is good. I don't find it difficult to stay grounded.
"Everytime I come back to London, I love the feeling – it's my hometown and I'm very happy with my creature comforts. I'm actually quite a homely person although I can still enjoy being on the red carpet."
Benedict, who has reportedly just bought a £10.8 Tuscan mansion in LA to help him divide his time between the US and UK, says he has no intention of relaxing his heavy schedule now Sophie is expecting another baby.
The handsome actor has been working on back-to-back projects – filming his new action film, returning to the BBC to film Sherlock and taking to the West End stage for Hamlet.
Asked about the impact of baby No.2, he laughed: "It won't be slowing me down. Keeping fit seems to be key! Adopting a physical regime for Doctor Strange really helped, not just for the obligatory shirt-off moment! It was all about keeping healthy for my new family."
