Since the birth of their newborn twins in June, Beyonce and Jay Z are yet to make any official announcement on the new additions to their family.
But the rumour mill is in full motion and they have reportedly chosen the names of Rumi and Sir Carter for the younger siblings of their daughter Blue Ivy.
According to TMZ, the famous couple have already filed legal documents trademarking these names for their offspring.
But why did Bey and Jay choose these unusual names for their little ones? It seems there may be a religious and spiritual meaning behind the monikers.
Poet Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi was named as one of the most popular poets in the United States in 2014 and this may have influenced their choice.
The Persian poet, who enjoys finding peace in meditation, writes about joy and love in his work.
Rumi is also a Japanese name which means “flow” and “beauty”.
However, Sir is a little more unusual but would not be at all out of the ordinary when it comes to the rich and famous naming their children.
