It’s official; Cara Kilbey is a mummy!
The former TOWIE star welcomed a little baby girl with her boyfriend Daniel yesterday, with Cara's brother, Tom Kilbey announcing the news on Twitter.
He wrote: "So today I became an uncle again.
“Love you @carakilbey."
The couple have named their baby girl, who weighed 9lb 2oz, Penelope Blu with Cara showing off a gorgeous picture of Penelope clutching her hand.
Cara’s baby arrived a whopping 7 days after her due date, so we imagine the Closer columnist was feeling a tad uncomfortable towards the end.
In fact, a month ago she told us exclusively that she couldn’t WAIT for her little one to arrive.
She said: "I have four and a half weeks until my due date and it can’t come quick enough. I’m 21lbs up on the scales and expecting to put on another 7lb in the last few weeks of my pregnancy!”
Cara added: “I’ve chosen a natural birth and the painkillers… well I'll let you know how that goes once I’ve given birth!”
We know that, whether boy or girl, their baby’s gender will have been a happy surprise to both Cara and Dan.
She told us: “Myself and my partner Daniel decided on not finding out the sex of our baby.
“I just feel you don’t get many surprises in life so why not keep it a secret?”
We hope they don't keep it a secret for too much longer - we're dying to find out whether we have a Mini-Cara or a Mini-Daniel on our hands!
