Carol Vorderman, 53, is training to fly solo around the world for charity - so it makes sense that she's had to quit Loose Women.
Explaining her decision to leave, Carol said: “I am getting into the hard work for my planning and training to go round the world next year.

“In the first two years on Loose I did over 100 days a year but in the last year I have only managed just over 20 days because I kept having to cancel days due to other work commitments."
She added: “I like to do things properly and it’s unfair to commit to something half-heartedly so I said to myself ‘It’s make you mind up time Vorderman’ and made my decision."

Despite the fact that she may fill in for Coleen Nolan, Myleene Klass, Jane Moore or Nadia Sawalha if they are taken poorly, Carol added that she will be focusing her attention on several other TV projects.
She explained: “I could still fill in now if someone was poorly this year or something like that, fundamentally I will not be on Loose Women again.
“I am a bit sad but I just can’t do it all. I am going to do more telly.
"I have a couple of big announcements in the next month, including more TV, so then it will all makes sense.
“There is some really interesting stuff coming in and an exciting time for me. I am a very lucky woman. It is a time in my life to make some big decisions.”
