Caroline seemed rather uncomfortable talking to Keith about her short-lived role as he asked: “You’ve had some big news recently, haven’t you?”
To which she replied: “Right here? Right now?”
It seems as if even Keith - aka Leigh Francis - found the topic rather awkward to bring up, judging by his reaction.
Caroline was fired from The X Factor earlier in the year after just one series of hosting the show alongside Olly Murs.
And, perhaps inspired to start afresh after hearing the news, Caroline took herself off to the hairdressers for a complete makeover.
Showing off her newwly-cropped and darkened hair on Instagram, she wrote: “Always wanted a dark lil Bob! Nows I got one![sic]”
Fans were quick to comment on the 36-year-old’s new hairstyle, with one saying: “It looks good on you, you look awesome”.
“So much better than blonde!! Suits you dark,” another added.
So, on Celebrity Juice, Keith used Caroline’s new hair as a way of bringing up the awkward topic of Dermot replacing her as the new X Factor host.
"There's an elephant in the room so let's discuss it. You’ve dyed your hair," he joked.
Keith then proceeded to ask if Olly Murs and Dermot O’Leary had changed their hair colour too, which Caroline quickly answered to move the conversation along.
Paddy McGuinnes then commented: “Ooh this is awkward!”
