‘I found Gemma Collins’ remarks about Essex men last week really offensive’ Chantelle wrote in her new column.

‘She might be used to men like that, but not all men in the county behave in such a disgusting way.’

‘My brother is from Essex and I know for a fact he’s never threatened to kill a girlfriend!’

The mum-of-one added that she felt Gemma’s comments were ‘somehow condoning Dan’s actions, which is just wrong.’

Gemma caused outrage earlier this month when she stepped in to defend Dan Osborne over his threats to ex girlfriend Megan Tomlin.

‘Dan is one of the loveliest guys I’ve met. People say things in temper. If you live in Essex that’s what all the boys say to their girlfriends.’

Speaking to The Sun, Gemma was referring to leaked phone recordings on which Dan could be heard threatening his ex girlfriend Megan Tomlin, who is also the mother to his son, Teddy.

In recordings that shocked fans of the reality show, which Dan was later dropped from, Osborne could be heard telling Megan he would be physically violent towards her if she slept with anyone else.

Do you think it was OK for Gemma to defend Dan? Or should she have kept her mouth shut on the matter?
