Coronation Street star Faye Brookes has opened up about her plans to have a baby with boyfriend Gareth Gates.
Actress Faye, 29, is hoping to have a child within the next five years while concentrating on her career in the meantime.
Faye and Gareth struck up a romance back in 2012 when they starred together in the musical Legally Blonde.
And while they may be away from each other quite a bit at the moment with Faye filming Corrie in Manchester and Gareth touring the country with a production of Footloose, she hopes they can have a little one together when everything is in place.
She told TV Magazine: “I do get broody. I would like kids by the time I’m 35, but when the time is right, the time is right.
“Me and Gareth are focused on our careers right now. We have plenty of time, although I am actually 30 this year. Everybody has said to me that it was the best year of their life so I am going to relish it.”
She also gave fans an insight into what her relationship with Gareth is like, saying that he puts effort into making her feel special.
Faye said: “I am very much a feminist when it comes to equal pay and everything else, but when it comes to a man opening the door for me, I melt.
“I love being swept off my feet. Luckily, Gareth is very romantic. He sends me flowers and leaves me little notes in the mirror in my lipstick.”
