Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie might be a busy working mum – but she says she hasn't ruled out expanding her family further.
The 34-year-old English actress has a one-year-old son named Yves with her French ice dancing husband Sylvain Longchambon and a seven-year-old daughter named Freya from her prior marriage to property developer Matt Smith.
But Samia says she would be more than willing to add to her family after her 36-year-old husband said he would love more.
Samia and Sylvain met while performing together in Dancing on Ice in 2013 – becoming engaged in 2015 and finally marrying in August this year.
"We're so excited about spending our first Christmas together as a married couple," the Frenchman said as the pair were interviewed in OK! Magazine.
And speaking of their life together, Sylvain said he would love another male presence in the family home.
"Having three children instead of two is a big step, but it would be cool for Yves to have a little brother," he explained.
Meanwhile Samia sounded a little more hesitant but said she wouldn't rule out the possibility of more children, telling the magazine: "I think two is enough – but never say never!"
With the family together as a four for the time being, Samia offered a cute insight into how her daughter Freya feels about being a big sister to her brother Yves.
"She just adores him. It's amazing to see how she is with him," the Corrie star said.
And it sounds like Freya is doing a great job in her big sister role, with mum Samia adding: "She's really proud and protective of him."
After Samia gave birth to Yves in September last year, she said she had struggled to leave him at home when she returned to work on Corrie following her maternity leave.
"I was crying the night before. I was thinking 'how am I going to do this?'," the actress – who plays Maria Connor on the ITV soap – revealed earlier this year.
"But the main thing is that we know Yves is safe. No matter what happens, I'm coming home to him every night," she explained.
While Samia and Sylvain were happily married in August this year, the day was marked with sadness as the actress's father Joseph was not there following a battle with cancer in 2009.
Saying he was watching over her, Samia was also overwhelmed when her husband dedicated part of his wedding speech to her father.
"I would like to raise a toast to somebody who unfortunately I didn't get to meet and Sam always tells me he would have loved me as much as I would have loved him," her husband said in his touching tribute.
