Recently, Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) – Danniella Westbrook’s on screen mum – returned to Walford for her final scenes as the famous EastEnders matriarch.

And as Danniella has returned once again as her EastEnders character to feature in four episodes following Peggy’s death, the blonde actress has been making several headlines.

After reports that she was fired from the soap after turning up late and bringing along her boyfriend, George Arnold, the 42 year old slammed the claims on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Danniella said: “I had two weeks work 2 do [at EastEnders] a funeral to shoot. Nothing with Peggy or grant. I was not sacked or axed I just did 4 episodes.”

And now the Celebrity Big Brother star has admitted that she doesn’t even watch the BBC One soap – or keep up with the big storylines.

Speaking during an online Q&A with mFortune players, Danniella confessed: "I don't even know who Bobby Beale is.

"Who is Bobby Beale? Is he something to do with Ian? Sorry, I don't watch EastEnders. It's a bit bad isn't it?"

Danniella played Sam Mitchell in EastEnders from 1990 to 1993 and returned in 1995-1996 for a short stint before her contract was terminated.

However in 2009, Danniella returned to the soap, but departed again a year later.

During the video chat, other fans tried to probe about upcoming EastEnders storylines, but Danniella revealed her storylines are confidential, and that the cast are not allowed to tell anyone what happens.

“I only get the script and read my bits,” she admitted.

"I hate people that leak stories as it's more exciting to watch the programme and follow the journey.

"Especially when people have worked so hard to film them and write them and stuff."
