Danielle Lloyd has bravely opened up for the first time about being sexually assaulted when she was just 13.

Talking about the heartbreaking incident on the Channel 5 show In Therapy, Danielle revealed that the assault was carried out by a ski instructor during a school ski trip to Austria.

Talking about the horrible incident, she explained: "He dragged me into one of the cubicals. I can still feel his hands on me. I can remember him grabbing me, the smell, the colours, I don’t think it will ever leave me.

"It was just horrible, even talking about it now really upsets me."

She continued: "I've never been so scared. I manged to get the cubicle door open and I ran, crying myself to sleep in the dorm.

"I dread to think what else he'd have done if I hadn't fought him off."

The mum-of-three explained that she's kept this traumatic secret from her family and friends for 20 years, and although she's seen plenty of therapists this is the first time she's ever spoken about it.

Talking about how the assualt has affected her, Danielle revealed: "That predator took away my innocence and I can never get it back. It's affected the way I've been in relationships, my self-esteem, everything.

"I got really angry that I hadn't told anyone, that maybe I'd allowed this man to do this to anyone else.

"To prey on a girl of 13 years old, you know what you're doing. It's not acceptable, it makes me feel physically sick.

"I felt so ashamed, so worthless. I thought I'd done something to deserve it, that I wanted it to happen. But no one deserves to be sexually assaulted."
