Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has revealed she's checking into rehab

Danniella Westbrook has revealed she plans to fight her addictions and demons for good and will check into a treatment facility to do so.

Over the years the former EastEnders star who viewers will remember as Sam Mitchell has publically battled her drug addiction. The mum-of-two to Kai, 20 and Jody, 15, admitted she first tried cocaine when she was 14-years-old. As a result of her drug use her septum rotted and after she managed to get clean she relapsed in 2016 after she split from her boyfriend George Arnold.

Appearing on This Morning she said: "I thought my whole world was over when he walked out, because he just got up, it was like he’d never been there.

"I tried to overdose a lot when George walked out, but it just turns out he never had a girlfriend before me, so it all unravels and you know it was very difficult."

Since her TV appearance the 43-year-old actress shocked fans by live streaming her vaginal surgery on Snapchat, she was mugged in Marbella and she posted a cryptic Mother's Day message.

The television star has now revealed she's heading back to rehab to kick her addiction one last time. Danniella tweeted that she's going to check into a treatment facility in Spain, she wrote: "So looking forward 2 working on myself and kick all addictions and demons once and for all. I can't wait 2 check in 2 treatment."

On Instagram, she opened up on her decision and said: "So I'm checking in to treatment again. The therapy show [Channel 5's In Therapy] I did cost me a lot of heartache painful childhood memories & trauma that the show didn't fix.

"Put that with a total lie and sham of a marriage the illness from botched bodies botching my health and a break up from the only man I ever loved and losing a baby last year, I think it's time I did this once and for all for myself my kids and my very small but close circle of friends.

"Am I scared yes but I do want a quality of life I don't have today and the freedom of a life without demons haunting me and making me weak to my addictions: so in a few weeks' time I shall be checking in to a friend's treatment centre and I won't be leaving until I'm a 100% well in my mind body and [heart emoji].
