David Beckham has defended a picture in which he can be seen kissing his daughter Harper on the lips.
The former footballer and his wife Victoria Beckham often share intimate pictures of themselves with their children Harper, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz on the social media accounts.
But this latest snap from sportsman David has caused some to hit out at the famous father.
The photo was taken while David was on a family holiday in Tanzania last month and in the shot he can be seen kissing Harper on the lips.
He captioned it: “Kiss for Daddy.”
However, in a Facebook Live session today, David hit back at critics who said it was wrong of him to kiss his children on the lips, saying he does so with all his kids apart from his oldest son Brooklyn.
He said: “I actually got criticised for kissing my daughter Harper on the lips the other day… I kiss all my kids on the lips.
“Brooklyn maybe not. Brooklyn is 18, so he might find that a little strange but I am very affectionate with the kids. It’s how I was brought up - and Victoria - and it’s how we are with out children.
“We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them and support them.”
