The West End stage star is now reportedly dating Eddie Boxshall, a stockbroker she met through mutual friends.
A close friend of the 40-year-old – who has a four-year-old daughter, Betsy, with Lee – confirmed the romance, telling the Mirror:
“Denise met Eddie a few months back and they instantly hit it off. They’re great together and are really enjoying getting to know each other better.
“It’s obviously early days, but things are getting more serious and they’ve started to go out with friends as a couple which seems to be a sign things are going in the right direction.”
Denise previously spoke out about finding love again a couple of months ago, saying she was hoping to start dating soon but wouldn’t be rushing into things.
She said: “I’d like to start dating again. But I won’t dive into a relationship unless it’s right. If I’m going to introduce a man to my daughter, I’d have to be really sure I like him.
“I’m not going to join dating websites though. I know it’s the modern way, but I’m quite traditional. I like men to take the lead, so I guess I’ll wait until some guy decides to ask me out in a gentlemanly fashion.”
