Dwayne, 43, and 31-year-old have yet to reveal any details of their new arrival, but an insider confirmed both mother and baby are doing well.

Speaking to E! News, the source said actor Dwayne, aka The Rock, was ‘very emotional and excited’ about meeting their daughter for the first time.

They added the new parents are ‘beyond happy for this next chapter in their lives’.

Earlier this month Lauren took to Instagram to joke that she hoped the baby wouldn’t follow in her dad’s well-built footsteps.

Lauren wrote: “Like Big Daddy says – Couldn’t be prouder of all the kickass women she’s going to have around her! And men of course ;).. #LetsJustHopeBigDaddyDoesnt=20lbBaby [sic].”

Lauren and Dwayne met in 2006, and began dating following his divorce from Dany Garcia, who he shares 14-year-old daughter Simone Alexandra with.

Last month the wrestler-turned-actor confirmed he and Lauren were having a little girl.

Taking to Instagram, he gushed: “IT’S A BABY GIRL!! THANK YOU guys so much for the awesome support and love you’ve sent @laurenhashianoffical and myself from around the world. We’re so grateful for this blessing and thrilled to share the news with ya’ll [sic].”
