Soap legend June Brown is celebrating her 90th birthday today!

June, AKA Dorothy "Dot" Cotton in EastEnders, has been in the business of show since 1952, appearing in the film It Started In Paradise in which she had an uncredited role as an announcer.

Since then, she starred in many films and landed the role of Dot in the same year as it started - 1985. She is now one of the longest-serving actors on the show.

She is also the only actress to have carried an entire episode by herself - do you remember that heartbreaking episode back in 2008 where she recorded the tape for Jim who was in hospital after his stroke?

SO SAD.

But June showed that she has the ability to move us like this, and is only the second ever performer to receive a BAFTA nomination for their work in a soap opera (the other was Jean Alexander for her performance as Hilda Ogden in Corrie).

She will also be honoured by the BBC in a special half-hour programme airing tonight which will be dedicated to her life and career.

But countless tweets have poured in today from fans and co-workers alike.

He co-star Adam Woodyatt, who is also one of the longest serving EastEnders actors, paid tribute to her on Twitter.

Co-star Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater, tweeted her celebrations to the actress.

Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning in the soap, tweeted too.

As did Davood Ghadami, who plays Kush Kazemi.

There was also a tweet from Jo Joyner, who played Dot's daughter-in-law Tanya in the show, and is rumoured to be returning.

The cast of EastEnders also filmed their very own tribute to June.

Rival soaps Hollyoaks and Coronation Street have even sent June their celebrations, with Hollyoaks tweeting the show with a fun gif.

But Coronation Street blew them out of the water. They have found an old clip of June from an episode in 1971 when she appeared as Mrs Parsons for a year.
