It sounds like something straight out of a Hollywood movie, but Gemma Atkinson has revealed that she received an outrageous proposal from a very rich Middle Eastern Sheik.
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, the soap actress said: “I was asked to go and live with him in Dubai. He wanted to pay for me to go… he wanted me to be his wife.”
“He was a sheik so it would have probably been in a big palace or something.”
She decided to turn down the offer (flattering as it was).
Gemma said: “I just thought ‘Oh gosh, no’. I didn’t follow it up. I just left it to my agent to politely decline.”
But this isn’t the first unusual request she has had from her male fans.
The 30-year-old revealed: “I still get pictures sent to me in the post. Men send them and ask me to sign them.
“I once had a guy who wrote asking for a photo of me smoking with a cigarette holder. I’m not sure why he wanted that. But it’s flattering.”
