Britney’s back but, unfortunately, still fond of chewing gum. The 34-year-old princess of pop joined the Loose Women in her only daytime interview and set the Twittersphere into a rant about her bad manners.
One viewer tweeted: "Not only is Britney a bad, bad interviewee but she's also chewing gum! Awful. # LooseWomen"
And another: "I love a bit of @britneyspears but all I can hear is her chomping on that gum! It's a chat show not a chew show! # LooseWomen"
Brit did pause long enough to answer the panel’s questions about her two year build up to launching new album, “Glory”, and whether she still listens to the critics.
The mother of two sons, Sean, 11, and Jayden, 10, said the boys are happy to give their two pennies worth. “I listen to what my sons say. My oldest is at the stage where he thinks mom is not that cool, he's about to become a teenager.
“He's very blunt and honest and I respect that. He said a couple of the songs were really boring. But I wouldn't change them.”
When asked whether the boys realise just how big an icon she is, Britney replied: “I'm not sure. It's weird because when I'm on stage I go into character but at home, I'm just mommy.”
The svelte singer looked like she could slip back into the red leather catsuit she made famous SIXTEEN years ago when Oops I Did It Again topped the UK charts. Alas, it was Coleen who poured into herself into a replica costume.
Grown-up Britney wore a much more tasteful LBD that showed off her toned physique as she put the Loose Women through their paces in a hilarious dance routine.
When asked if she really hates the gym, Britney said: “I have to work out with three or four girls. I don't like to get on the treadmill and run. I like to go to classes and have music.”
Britney faced inevitable questions about her love-life post K-Fed and happily declared that she’s “single”, “looking” and “fond of younger guys”. She admitted: “This morning this guy came, a waiter, and he was so cute. I like it spur of the moment, not too planned, just things to happen.”
During a game of ‘Snog, Marry, Avoid’ that had the blonde songstress a little baffled, Britney said she would snog the one and only Justin Bieber. They do have a lot in common! She wisely opted to avoid BOTH Simon Cowell and pop rival, Madonna.
Until she finds true love, Britney can revel in the male striptease that accompanies her new single, Make Me.
