Frank Lampard has caused quite the stir on social media.
The footballer, who currently plays in the US for New York City FC, left fans blushing after his bizarre tribute to his new wife, TV presenter Christine Bleakley.
In the flashback photo, Christine and Frank are seen celebrating after their star-studded wedding, looking absolutely over the moon and holding up a bottle of champagne.
It’s a touching Instagram post. Until you read the caption, that is:
‘Two weeks ago today I finally took her up the aisle ;)’
Fans quickly reacted to the risqué comment. One referred to Frank as a ‘dirty dog'. Another suggested that he 'should keep that private', while one user joked: ‘Could have worded that a bit better ;)’
We’d like to believe otherwise, but we reckon that winky face suggests the innuendo was intended.
