Georgia May Foote was recently spotted with a diamond ring on her engagement finger.
However, despite being slammed by many for getting ‘engaged too quickly’ to her Strictly dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, the former Corrie star has insisted that they have no plans to wed anytime soon.
Insisting that her new bling is nothing more than a heartfelt gift, she told the Sunday Mirror firmly: “It isn’t an engagement ring.”
Giovanni, 25, added: “It’s just a present.”
However rumours that the 24-year-old is planning to move in with Giovanni have proven to be 100% true.
Georgia even let slip that she and the hunky Strictly star are planning to find a place in London.
She explained simply: “Giovanni makes me happy.
“All that matters is my friends know I’m happy, my family know I’m happy.”
The actress added that she and Gio did NOT start their relationship until after she’d split with Sean Ward, despite rumours that their closeness had driven her and her Corrie co-star apart.
A Strictly source told The Mirror at the time: "It was Sean who pushed Georgia away. He didn't feel secure in their relationship and it led to huge rows.
"He found it difficult to get over the close relationship she had with Giovanni."
The young couple will be spending a lot of time together during this year’s live tour of Strictly Come Dancing.
And, judging by that gift of a diamond ring, it seems as if Gio and Georgia are very serious about a long-term relationship.
