Geri Horner is reportedly in talks to join the Great British Bake Off to replace ex hosts Mel and Sue.

The former Spice Girl appeared on the Sport Relief celebrity edition earlier this year and was a hit with viewers after showing off her impressive baking skills.

And she is apparently being considered by Love Productions to appear on the show when it moves from the BBC to Channel 4.

A source told The Sun: “Geri is a bit of a curveball idea, but bosses face a tough ask to get her on board.

“She’s not done much presenting and has big music commitments.”

The pop star recently got together with bandmates Mel B and Emma Bunton to announce they were planning something special to mark the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Spice Girls.

Also in the possible line-up is pastry chef Cherish Finden who could replace Mary Berry as a judge on the show.

The source added: “Cherish has already worked with makers Love Productions and she was great on screen.

“She’s a world-class expert in pastries and cakes so she knows her stuff and will compliment Paul whose background is more savoury.

“Filling the judge’s role will be extremely hard so they know they have to act fast to make sure they’ve got someone who knows their stuff - and has appeared on TV before.”
