Gillian Taylforth may make her money starring as Kathy Beale in EastEnders, but her first priority, like any good mum, is her children.
Which is why, when she learned that her daughter Jessica had been rushed to hospital, she dropped everything to be at the 23-year-old’s side.
After getting a phone call to say she collapsed at work, Gillian went straight to see Jessica Knights.
A source close to the family told The Sun: "This was obviously very frightening for everyone involved.
"When Gillian heard that Jess had collapsed, she dropped everything and drove to the hospital to be by her side."
Jessica was, thankfully, later revealed to be well enough to go home.
The Sun’s sources: "Thankfully the doctors were able to reassure her that Jess’s condition was not too serious and she was discharged that afternoon."
Jessica is the EastEnders star’s daughter with former partner Geoff Knights, who tragically died of cancer in November 2013.
Gillian also has a son, Harrison, with Geoff.
