Halle Berry is 50 and fabulous and has recently shared an inspiring message that we feel every woman needs to hear especially as it is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

On Instagram she posted a photo of herself wearing a crown along with the caption: “My #WCW goes to all my QUEENS who have suffered any form of domestic violence. I think this quote captures it perfectly...

“Dear women, sometimes you'll just be too much woman. Too smart, too beautiful, too strong.

“Too much of something. That makes a man feel like less of a man, which will start making you feel like you have to be less of a woman.

“The biggest mistake you can make is removing jewels from your crown to make it easier for a man to carry.

“When this happens, I need you to understand, you do not need a smaller crown... You need a man with bigger hands.’”

The gorgeous actress dedicated the post and poem to Domestic Violence Awareness Month which is this month (October).

Fans have related to the post, one of her followers wrote: “Love this picture. Took me a while to realise what I was going through but I now realise I deserve so much better! I thought I wasn’t pretty enough but to know a beautiful queen like yourself can relate makes me feel like I’m not alone”

Others wrote:

“Thank you! #Survivor”

“@halleberry, you're one in a million… You’re a great example of strength and love and honesty ... thank you for always speaking up and talking about what matters most you're a beautiful woman.”

“Thank you for sharing. I haven't been a victim of domestic violence, however I have done this in many relationships.”

“Beautiful quote empowering for women in general regardless of situation”

“Thank you so much for this. This is what women need to see and think and strive to embody. Self-confidence and inner net worth is far more valuable and successful than any dollar amount. You have always been a beacon and a force but today when I read these words, from you, I felt beautiful and reminded that beauty is skin deep. The glow from within shines brighter than a diamond.”

“I am presently in a women shelter for domestic violence I am in Canada and those words gave me hope...”
