Harry Potter fans, you won’t BELIEVE what Dudley Durlsey looks like nowadays…
We all remember Dudley Dursley, don’t we?
The boorish muggle son of Vernon (Richard Griffiths) and Petunia Dursley (Ariella Paradise), he famously bullied and belittle his cousin, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) for years.
However, towards the end of the films, it seemed as if Harry’s overweight cousin had something of a change of heart towards The Boy Who Lived.
We imagine being rescued from a soul-sucking dementor will do that to someone, eh?
However, nowadays, Harry Melling is finding a new life away from his on-screen alter-ego.
And he couldn’t look more different!
Now 26, the talented young actor was almost unrecognisable when he appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to chat about his latest project.
Check it out:
Harry is set to star in Hand To God, a new West End play, in which he plays a young man who finds himself possessed by a twisted sock-puppet called Tyrone.
He explained: “Jason is possessed by this thing.
"Tyrone causes mayhem through the play."
Harry previously explained to The Telegraph that he chose to lose weight because he didn’t want to have to play ‘fat clowns’ anymore.
Admitting he ate “ridiculous amounts” when he landed the role of Dudley at 11-years-old, he said: "Toffee Crisp was my downfall. I once ate five at a sitting.
"My parents didn't overfeed me, nor did they make an issue of it. That's when things go wrong. It doesn't have to be a problem for children to be fat, but it does affect you: you aren't as happy in that skin."
He added: "I can now shed the child-actor thing, like the fat, and start a new career, because no one sees me as Dudley."
Hand To God is running at the Vaudeville Theatre in London until June 11.
