She’s blasted critics on a number of occasions after making headlines for her dramatic weight loss this summer, even suggesting last month that “body shaming” should be made illegal.

But last week, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini had her views rubbished by Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, who said: “It’s a little stupid to say. When you’re in the public eye, you have to take the good with the bad.”

Now insiders say the X Factor judge has been hurt by Amanda’s comments, and has told pals she’s planning a showdown.

A source reveals: “Cheryl was really shocked and hurt by Amanda’s comments. She got in touch with her to let her know she wasn't happy – and has been speaking to their mutual pal Simon Cowell too
