Jeremy McConnell has broken his silence after being handed a 20 week suspended prison sentence for assaulting Stephanie Davis.

The model appeared in court last week before heading home to Ireland where he was given a hero’s welcome at the airport by friends and family.

And the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate has now taken to social media for the first time since he was found guilty.

The reality star plugged a teeth whitening product on his Instagram page today, writing: “Thank you to brighter white always keeping my teeth in top shape.”

In the picture, he can be seen flashing a smile in a bid to show off his teeth but did not mention ex Stephanie or anything to do with the trial in his post.

Former Hollyoaks actress Stephanie, who shares son Caben-Albi with Jeremy, is said to have been left incredibly upset that Jez was not sent to jail as he was handed a suspended sentence.

A source recently told The Sun Online: “Steph’s absolutely devastated. No one has ever seen her as low as she is now and everyone is worried about her.

“She’s trying to stay strong for Caben-Albi but it’s been so hard for her to cope recently. Right now she is rock bottom.”

The star, who recently suffered a miscarriage, did not attend the hearing and stayed at home.

In a statement released as Jeremy headed to court last week, her spokesperson said: “Stephanie won’t be attending court again today as she will be busy with Caben.

“As a single mother her priority has to be the continued focus on her son.”
