Celebrity Big Brother star Jeremy McConnell has been left heart-broken by a family tragedy.

His father has passed away after a short battle with cancer.

Speaking to The Sun Online, a representative for Jeremy revealed: "On Friday 3rd March 2017 Jeremy McConnell’s father passed away after a short battle with cancer.

"We ask that Jeremy is given space and privacy at this incredibly sad time."

Jeremy has previously spoken out about the tragic deaths of his mother, brother and sister – who all died within 15 months of each other – when he was younger.

According to the newspaper: "When I was fifteen I was at my cousin’s and my mum fell asleep.

"I got back about two hours later and she was gone – she had a brain haemorrhage.

"Shortly after that my brother broke his neck in a motorbike accident.

"After that, my sister had a heart attack – she suffered with epilepsy. All in the space of fifteen months."

This latest sad news comes after Jeremy shared a picture with his and Stephanie Davis son, Caben-Albi on Instagram.

He captioned the snap with a heart emoji.

Stephanie recently addressed the rumours that her and Jeremy were back together. Her spokesperson said: "Stephanie wants to address the rumours that have been reported in the press over the last few days regarding herself and Jeremy.

"At the present time they're co-parenting and it works. Together they're discussing Caben's wants and needs and deciding what's best. Caben will always be their number on priority and being the best parents to their little boy is paramount to them.

"Stephanie would like to thank everyone for all the support that they continue to give," they told the Mirror.
