The 24-year-old allegedly posted the snap of Andrew Hoy last week and and was arrested last night.
She spent today in a police station in West Yorkshire, and a spokesperson confirmed the news to the Mirror.
According to the newspaper Josie was charged with 'disclosing private sexual photographs or films with intent to cause distress under the Criminal Justice Act 2015'.
Josie's agent refused to discuss the news today, claiming: "It is inappropriate to comment at this time."
But a friend said: "Josie has been helping police with their enquiries over the past couple of weeks.
"She is an open and honest girl and she has nothing to hide."
A photo posted to Josie's Twitter account – which has since been suspended – appeared to show Andrew naked, and had the message: "Here's a naked pic – amazing how such a tiny mushroom can cover c_ck, b_lls and a b*ll end [sic]"
Josie is expected to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on 12 June.
