Kate Beckinsale has apparently split with her toyboy boyfriend American actor Matt Rife after only a few dates
The relationship which raised a few eyebrows apparently "fizzled out weeks ago".
Kate, 44, was pictured kissing Matt, 21, back in June after a night out with some friends.
The actress, whose daughter Lily is just three years younger than Matt, split from her husband Len Wiseman of 11 years only last year, but friends were optimistic about her new relationship with Matt.
When the pictures emerged, a source close to the star told Entertainment Tonight: "They quickly started flirting, went on their first date and it's continued since.
"Everyone in Kate's circle loves Matt and are so supportive of this relationship. He really is the sweetest guy and makes her so happy. Her entire family thinks he is the nicest and most lovely person."
However, the relationship is now said to have been over "for weeks" after another source told Us Weekly: "They went on a couple of fun dates. It fizzled out weeks ago. She's happily single and has a lot going on."
