Six-years after their divorce she and Peter Andre have kissed and made up, and Katie Price was allegedly so relieved that she broke down in tears.
Katie, 37, and 42-year-old Peter split in May 2009, and have spent much of the time since embroiled in a very public and ongoing slanging match. But earlier this month singer Pete confirmed they’d called a truce.
Now sources have claimed Katie, who shares son Junior, 10, and eight-year-old daughter Princess with Pete, couldn’t told back her tears of happiness during a dramatic showdown at her West Sussex home.
An insider told Now magazine: “Katie was emotional when she got talking to Pete properly for the first time since the divorce – everything just came pouring out.
“She said she was sorry for any part she played in the toxic situation and that she never wanted it to happen again.”
According to the source Katie and Pete are getting on so well now that she’s already planning a huge family holiday for them all.
“They ended up hugging and Katie was crying,” the insider added. “She was so relieved she’d been able to talk to Pete face-to-face.”
Since their split Katie and Pete have both remarried, with her settling down with former stripper Kieran Hayler and him tying the knot with doctor Emily MacDonagh last year.
Katie is also mum to Harvey, 13, Jett, two, and 18-month-old Bunny, while Pete and Emily share two-year-old daughter Amelia.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine recently, Pete said: “It’s really strange even with things that have happened in the past, me and Kate we’re ok now.”
