Katie Price is never one to shy away from something controversial but earlier this year people were shocked when she said the N-word on live television.

The mum of five to Harvey, 15, Junior, 12, Princess, 10, Jett, three and Bunny, two appeared on This Morning to discuss the online petition she set up to make online bulling a criminal offence, following the disgusting messages that are written about her son Harvey.

Phillip Schofield and many This Morning viewers was horrified after she said the N-word twice on the show but Katie later went on to defended the interview.

She told The Sun: "I’m glad people are outraged… If they were half as outraged about the abuse my son gets as they are that I used that word, maybe something would be done about it.

"He gets called worse things than that every day and it has to stop.

"If a footballer said things like that on a pitch there would be uproar. So why are web trolls ok to say it to an innocent child?"

And in an upcoming episode of Katie Price: My Crazy Life, the reality speaks about the controversial interview again and reveals she is standing by her words. She explains: "This was the day that I did the show and I used the N-word.

"It shocked people, but it shocks me that people are shocked I'm saying it when I'm shocked that people are saying it about my son."

Since creating her online petition back in March, Katie received over 220,000 signatures before the petition closed. Katie has admitted in the past that she was able to get some online trolls arrested but they both got off because they didn't have a criminal record.

She went on to reveal why it's important for her petition to go further: "In my view there's nothing in place.

"I'm going to make sure in my Pricey power I'm going to do something about it because it's just not good enough."

The Government have since responded to the petition and said: "We recognise that behaviour that is not tolerated offline is now common online.

"DCMS is working on an Internet Safety Strategy which aims to make the UK a safer place for young people to be online."

They added: "While we will continue to monitor the situation, we believe that our current legal approach is the right one."
