All mums know that horse riding carries some degree of danger but no one wants to spoil their little Princess’s fun and refuse to let them ride.

But unlike Katie Price, most mums would be holding their breath if their eight-year-old fell from a horse as she was attempting to make a jump.

In the latest episode of Katie Price’s Pony Club, you can watch Katie maintain her cool (and her trackside seat) while the rest of the crew gapes at the motionless child.

As the instructor goes to check on the fallen Princess, the 38-year-old mum of five tells the camera: “She wasn’t really hurt, she was just playing dead like a dead goldfish on the floor.”

The glamour model turns to her friend adding: “Trust me, if I knew something was wrong I’d be over there like a flash.”

Fortunately Princess was completely unhurt and later tells the cameras: “My mum thought I was faking when I fell off the horse, but my back actually hit the jump. But I was really determined to get back on my horse and show my mum that I can do it.”

Princess has certainly inherited the Pricey determination but experts have previously spoken against Katie’s parenting decisions, exposing her kids too much, too soon, with regular media appearances and their own Instagram accounts.

But Katie refuses to be deterred, hitting back at claims she’s a bad mum by explaining the realities behind success in showbiz and now horse riding.

Katie says: “I’m not one of these mums who are like, ‘Are you okay, sweetie pie?’

“They’ve got their helmet on, body protection; if I knew they were hurt I’d get up.

“Princess is really nervous, she has fallen off so many times. But I try and explain, the more you fall off, the better you become at riding.”

Later in the show, Katie chides her baby girl for milking the moment.

She says: “Did you think just because you watched Air Ambulance last night, did you think an ambulance was going to come and lift you just because you laid still on the floor?

“You little drama queen, I knew there was nothing wrong with you.”

This time Princess escaped unscathed but the little girl has broken her arm riding before. She had to undergo emergency surgery to re-set the limb. THAT episode did have Katie in a spin.

Talking about her reaction she later said: “Poor Princess, she was riding her pony that I got her for her birthday and she actually smacked her arm, she fell off and she was crying and I was going, ‘Just get up, get up.’

“And then she got up and her big eyes went, ‘Mum my arm’s falling off!’ I looked and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I’m not joking it was hanging here.”
