She’s been in the public eye since she was 18-year-old, and Kerry Katona has had more than her fair share of ups and downs.

Career highs include her time with girl band Atomic Kitten and being crowned queen of the I’m a Celebrity jungle in 2004, but Kerry, 35, has experience lows including divorce, bankruptcy and drug addiction – all in the glare of the media.

So it’s no surprise she’s wary of her five children following in her showbiz footsteps. Speaking to Star magazine about the possibility of her kids becoming famous, Kerry said: “I think I’ve scared the sh*t out of [them] so much that they’ll never do anything like that.

“I hope I brought them up better. I’d be so disappointed and let down if, knowing what I’ve been through, which they do, they went in that direction.”

Kerry has Molly, 14, Lilly-Sue, 13, Heidi, eight, Max, seven, and 22-month-old Dylan-Jorge Rose from her three marriages to Brian McFadden, Mark Croft and George Kay.

Last year Kerry and George, 36, split – just a month after their one-year wedding anniversary – when he was arrested for allegedly attacking her with a Taser-style weapon.

He appeared in court earlier this month, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges, and it’s thought he’ll face trial later this year.

But, despite everything she’s been through, Kerry can still poke fun at herself.

She added: “I’m sure in another 10 years I’ll meet another d***head, I’ll make the same mistakes again, I’ll pop out another 50-odd kids and do another magazine shoot at the wedding.”
