Just weeks after she uprooted her life and moved from Oxfordshire to Sussex, Kerry Katona’s turbulent marriage to George Kay imploded when he was charged for assaulting her and possession of a Taser gun.

And as Kerry, 35 – who is mum to Molly, 14, Lilly-Sue, 12, Heidi, eight, Max, seven, and Dylan-Jorge, 19 months – is still trying to come to terms with everything that’s happened, insiders say she’s scared of being in the house alone without her estranged husband.

Last year Kerry – who suffers from bipolar disorder – admitted to Closer that she hated being on her own, saying: “My triggers [for bipolar] can be being locked up in the house all day or spending too much time on my own. My mind races. Now I know to get out of the house or keep my mind occupied.

A source says: “Kerry is trying to be as strong as she possibly can, but now she’s a single mum again she’s having to be in the house a lot with DJ on her own and is finding that tough. She hates being home alone.”
