Katie Price and former stripper Kieran Hayler have two children together, Jett Riviera, two, and 20-month-old Bunny.

However Kieran has now revealed that he has plans to legally adopt her eldest son, Harvey.

“I’ve always thought it would be good because I’d like us all to be connected," the 29-year-old told OK! magazine.

Kieran continued: “He is my child at the end of the day.

“Why not actually make him mine, because he feels like he’s mine anyway?”

However, whether or not the adoption goes ahead, Kieran has assured fans of the couple that he will always treat Harvey as if he were his own flesh and blood.

“He’s my stepson no matter what happens,” he said firmly.

Harvey, 14, is the son of former footballer Dwight Yorke, following his brief relationship Katie in 2001.

The author and businesswoman, who also shares daughter, Princess, and son, Junior, with ex-husband Peter Andre, has previously claimed that Dwight refused to get to know their son.

Writing in her 2013 autobiography Love, Lipstick & Lies, Katie recalled a meeting with the sports star.

She wrote: “Dwight’s attitude made me really angry. ‘I’m sitting here because you have a son… a son you could get on with and who you could see at weekends. Are you interested?’

“‘I’ll have to think about it,’ was the reply. ‘And if I do decide to see him it will be on my terms, not yours or your mum’s. And I only want to deal with you’.”

Katie added: “Dwight gave me such a hard time that I felt like standing up and saying, ‘F*ck you!’ Why was he being like this? It was his son we were talking about! I suppose I should have been used to it, as he had hardly been involved in Harvey’s life to date, but I still felt hurt for my son.”

The mum-of-five claims Dwight has never made another attempt to have a regular relationship with their son, despite her efforts.

She said: “The door is always open to Dwight and his family, so long as they realise that it would have to be a regular commitment, not simply random visits when it suited them.

“It wouldn’t be fair on Harvey to settle for anything less. Dwight should try. He would get so much love in return.”
