Last month, Kieran Hayler revealed he would be getting some new ink to show the world just how much he loves his wife, Katie Price.
The tattoo artist was none other than Tattoo Fixer’s Jay Hutton, who took to Instagram several weeks ago to share a picture with his celebrity client.
And responding to the snap, Katie tweeted saying she couldn’t wait to see the tattoo.
Obviously, Katie has since seen the new ink, but the rest of the world has been eagerly awaiting the unveiling.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Kieran opened up as to why he wanted to get the tattoo of his wife.
He said: “I already had a small tattoo close to my ankle, which I had done when I was with one of my first girlfriends. I wanted to get rid of it now that I’m married to Kate so I’ve covered it up.”
Revealing that the tattoo took five hours to finish, he also admitted that he wanted to get the ink to show Katie how much he holds her in esteem.
Kieran explained: “The pain I went through while having the tattoo done was nothing compared to the pain Kate went through when I cheated on her two years ago. So I think I deserved to go through that pain!”
The black and white tattoo shows Katie in a classic pose with wings for Kieran’s “guardian angel” look, which he said was to portray how much she helped him through his issues.
Kieran and Katie married in 2013, but their relationship was rocked when the mum-of-five revealed just over a year later that Kieran had been having an affair with her best friend Jane Pountney and other friend Chrissy Thomas.
The couple have since worked through their problems, and are currently happily married.
Speaking about Kieran’s tattoo on Loose Women, Katie said: “He chose a picture of me with wings because he says I found him and saved him.”
However fellow panellist Nadia Sawalha admitted: “that looks like a picture of you from about twenty years ago.”
Taken aback, Katie asked if she meant that she’s now gotten fat, before saying addressing pregnancy rumours – but the 27-year-old confirmed she’s not expecting baby number six.
