After meeting on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen – who were paired together on the show – started dating. Their relationship sparked controversy as Ben was married to his now ex-wife Abby while on the BBC One show, although Ben and Kristina did not start dating until the marriage had ended.
Until recently, the usually loved up pair have kept their lives out of the spotlight. But, after professional dancer Kristina appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and very publicly announced she was expecting the couple’s first child, it seems their relationship may have run into problems.
After leaving the CBB house, Ben was a notable absence and we’ve worked out that the couple have not been pictured together since mid December.
“[Ben] has been very busy recently sorting a lot of things,” an insider told the Mail. “All the contestants stayed at The Village Hotel in Elstree before they went into the house,” they added. “Most arrived there with families or partners. You would have expected Ben and Kristina to be there too.”
Another insider, who spotted Ben and Kristina taking the rugby player’s twin daughters to Winter Wonderland in London, also claimed their relationship seemed fraught.
“Ben and Kristina were at the base of a ride at the park and they did not look happy,” the insider claimed. “You could tell something wasn’t right. Kristina was stomping around.”
A spokesperson for the couple told the Mail, “They’re fine” when asked about the rumours and it’s reported the couple met yesterday to talk.
