Kym Marsh's son, Archie, died in 2009 after being born 18 weeks early.

Every year since the family light candles and send balloons on the anniversary.

The Coronation Street actress appeared on Loose Women (August 15) and described a chilling story about a recent encounter with Archie's ghost.

She explained to the panellists that after coming home late from work last year on the seventh anniversary of Archie's death, she and her two children David and Emily heard jumping up and down from Polly's bedroom.

After sending her son David upstairs to check if Polly was awake, he saw that she was still sleeping.

"We hear this jumping, it's like someone is jumping on the floor upstairs.

"And then David went 'Mum look' and the chandelier underneath the room was shaking."

Kym then explained that she was spooked by the whole thing: "So we all go up again and she's [Polly] still asleep, we come down and the next thing we hear a child crying.

"And it was NOT Polly, it was not Polly's cry. You know your own child's cry don't you, and it wasn't Polly."

All three members were "freaked out" and Kym told the Loose Women: "There's no other explanation for it."

The craziest part of her story was that after checking Polly was sleeping again she realised it was Archie's birth minute at that exact time.

She then confessed to the presenters: " [The experience] did give us comfort, we were all a bit like this is Archie, he's come to say hello and tell us he's OK."

This isn't the first encounter with Polly and Archie, Kym revealed when Polly was 18-months-old she said: "Mummy, Archie, Archie."

The actress also discussed the idea of marriage with her boyfriend Matt Baker. On the show she said: "I'm not closed off to the idea, it's not something I think I definitely have to do this.

"But I wouldn't say no to it because I don't think it's the marriage part. I just think I've not married the right people."
