Insiders tell Closer that the reality star – who is returning to TOWIE later this year – has reached an all-time low due to being single and feeling insecure, and is adamant that becoming a mum will ease her problems.
After admitting she had visited a psychic who said she was going to get pregnant next year, sources say Lauren's so determined to start a family, she's preparing to go it alone - with a sperm donor.
A source says: "Lauren hit rock bottom on her birthday and was close to tears as she told friends that she felt lonelier than ever.
"Feeling so down has led her to comfort eat again and she seriously thinks the only way she'll be able to make herself happy again is to have a baby."
