Everyone knows that friendships change over time, but that doesn’t make drifting apart from loved ones any less difficult.
Lauren Pope has now revealed that it was because of changing friendships that she decided to leave The Only Way Is Essex.
After public spats with frenemy Chloe Sims and strong personalities such as Gemma Collins, Lauren has decided to give herself peace of mind and take a break from reality TV.
The DJ and business woman said: “I’ve kind of made amends with some of them but our friendships aren't how they were before; I think this last year has opened my eyes a lot to TOWIE friendships.
“I’m used to people who have very normal with sane personalities, not one day they're your friend and the next they're not, it was kind of a shock to get that kind of treatment on TOWIE.”
Lauren now wants to focus her efforts on her hair extension brand Hair Rehab London, a favourite of the UK’s biggest girl band, Little Mix.
“It was one of the main reasons why I made the final decision to leave the show because I wasn't able to put 100 per cent into that so now I can.”
