Lydia Bright left heartbroken after death of pet dog

Lydia Bright has shared some heartbreaking news with fans - her pet dog Paddy has passed away.

The Only Way Is Essex star, who is currently in Austria training for winter sports show The Jump, posted a picture of the Patterdale terrier on Instagram.

She captioned it: “RIP my boy Paddy. Thank you for the years of love.”

Fellow TOWIE star, Lydia’s mother Debbie Bright, also wrote online: “R.I.P. Paddy Boy may heaven be raining with squeaky toys.”

Lydia’s younger brother Freddie added: “Rest in peace Paddy boy.”

Fashion boutique owner Lydia was quickly sent messages from condolences from fans, with one writing: “This is so sad. So sorry Lyds.”

The sad news prompted Lydia’s ex James Argent to reach out to her online as he shared a picture from his own photo album.

He wrote: “RIP PADDY! We shared this sofa many many times together.”

Paddy had battled illness throughout his life and Lydia has previously spoken about how this affected her.

She told Female First: “Paddy is so important and unfortunately he has had very bad health during his life. I know how down I am when he is ill and how upset I would be if he wasn’t here.

“So I try and encourage all dog owners to seek professional advice and use the right precautionary procedures to help keep disease and illness at bay.”
