Mark Wright has been signed onto a US TV show called Extra which will take him to LA for filming

We've forgiven Mark Wright for his naughty past as something of a lothario whilst he was on TOWIE after proving himself to be a loving husband to one of our fave gals Michelle Keegan.

Not only that, but he co-hosts Take Me Out: The Gossip AKA one of the best "sister" shows in existence on telly at the moment.

Seriously - we thought the main show couldn't get any better thanks to the god that is Paddy McGuinness. (Anyone else? Just me? Okie doke.)

ANYWAY. Back to the subject at hand.

Apparently, Mr Wright has been offered a role as a reporter on US entertainment TV show Extra, an American celebrity gossip show that covers all the biggest names in the American celebrity game.

And even though he and Mich vowed to spend more time together after not seeing that much of each other last year, it's pretty good timing as Mich is about to be flying off to Nepal, Malaysia and South Africa for the next few months to film the new series of Our Girl.

Confirming the news, Mark's spokesperson told MailOnline: "Mark has been asked to do a few segments with Extra. He is working on them now."

A source told The Sun: "This is a massive gig for Mark. It will put him in the homes of millions of Americans every day.

"He’s hoping it will go well so that more work in the States follows. He’s been out in LA for the past few weeks having meetings with the major networks and all the noises are very positive."

Mark's work on Extra won't even be his first stint in America, having previously starred on E!'s show The Royals as a talk show host.

This will either be a make or break moment for the couple, as Michelle has previously expressed a desire to work in the States.

Will she be happy that her hubby has gotten there before she did?
