Michelle Heaton is a brave and inspiring woman, there's no doubt about that.

Not only has the former Liberty X singer undergone a preventative hysterectomy, in order to reduce the likelihood of her developing cancer, but she's spent a huge amount of time encouraging women to take the right steps to ensure their own safety, even saving their own lives.

She geuniely is a wonder woman.

Michelle underwent her mastectomy in 2012, not long after the arrival of her daughter Faith, four.

And last year, after the birth of son Aaron Jay, now 2, the TV personality had hysterectomy and ovariectomy, too.

However, today Michelle has shared a private letter from the NHS, who she has upmost respect for, bluntly informing her that she 'no longer has a cervix' and therefore is not eligable to undergo a cervical smear test.

Addressing the bluntless and overall tone of the letter, especially after all that she has been through, Michelle was evidently upset.

The letter states: "We have been advised that your name should be removed from the list of women eligible for cervical screening. This is because your medical records indicate that you do not have, or no longer have, a cervix.

"I am therefore writing to confirm that you will no longer receive invitations for screening.

"If you believe this information is incorrect and you should still be called for screening, please contact this office as soon as possible."

Michelle questioned the tone of the letter in her caption, saying:

"A simple human emotion like “I’m sorry to hear that…” Would have made this so much better for me to read."

Fans proceeded to rally around the star, sharing their own experiences when they recieved similar letters from the NHS.

Ashleyharkinsnoon wrote: "That's a bit blunt !! I would write an email asking for a full blown apology that's disgusting!"

While Hannah Harry shared a similar experience to Michelle's: "I have been having arguments with my gp as I keep getting called for smears. They have even said do u realise how dangerous it is to miss a smear. All the doctors and receptionists know I have my cervix removed (radical Trachelectomy) Having to explain and bring up my past every time is just not on."
