...But it did little to distract from earlier reports linking the former TOWIE star to another woman.
The drama unfolded when photos emerged of Mark, 29, hugging a blonde woman at last month's V Festival.
Reports claimed Mark was "cuddling and dancing" with the woman for over an hour. He later branded it "nonsense," saying the woman – Jo – was "an old family friend of 15 years, mother of three children and like an auntie to me."
But insiders say the tension between Mark and Michelle was evident at the launch.
A source says: "This didn't seem to be a date night for Mark and Michelle, it was very much about work. They didn't actually spend any time together, they were never alone, even in the taxi.
"Michelle was on edge and wanted to keep an eye on Mark to make sure he was networking and happy, while he was going out of his way to be on his best behaviour."
