Lots of people have disagreed with this photo Pink uploaded on Instagram of her two children

Another day goes by where another mum has been criticised for her parenting technique and this time it's American singer Pink – whose real name is Alecia.

The mum-of-two to Willow, six and Jameson, six-months shared a family photo of herself cooking while her daughter is watching from the counter and her son is strapped into a baby carrier.

Sharing the photo on Instagram, the 37-year-old mum simply wrote: "Dinner time."

However, lots of her followers were concerned with how close her son is to the over, with one person writing: "Dangerous stuff for your kids! Stop doing this! U a great singer, don't need to expose your baby to boiling oil. Are you insane this days? This picture would give a good example of what not to do with small children. Shocking picture. Hope to see you giving better examples to the working mothers. I am a parent too. Cheers. Just terrible😓"

A second person wrote: "I'm sure people have said to be careful but from my experience sometimes when cooking little splashes of oil, or any moisture has burned my skin to where I jerk back. Just be super careful cuz of the little munchkin 😉"

Someone else said: " I love pink, I'm not her to judge anyone however when it comes to our babies we need to really really think is it worth the risk? don't ever think it can't happen to you because it can and may. My baby was burned at 14 months, it's the worst thing any parent or our children can go thru. so please please think."

Another added: "I think it's great your cooking dinner yourself and spending time with your kids and seem like an awesome mother but (I know this wasn't purposely) that is pretty dangerous."

One of her followers explained: "A burn of any degree fucking hurts, she's not being a cool mom, it's ridiculous to put a child in a dangerous situation."

"Love ya girl but just be careful will jumping liquids I know you know what you're doing and sometimes we forget is all," said one more person.

However thousands (literally) of people have defended the yummy mummy for sharing the realness of motherhood, with one person writing: "Such real life! Thank you @pink for showing how we women get it all done! Your honesty is refreshing, endearing and incredibly comforting to know I'm not alone. #MakeItWork"

Someone else wrote: " Love the realness and honesty in your photos and posts @pink ❤️😍"

A third person added: " I have a 2 year old and she sits on the counter next to me when I cook...sometimes you have to do whatever u need to in order to get stuff done!! As long as she's watching her kids that's her biz!"

Another person related and said: "I used to breastfeed my daughter while I cooked dinner at the stove!!! Multi-tasking moms!!"

"Your son looks like he wants the veggies. That seems like nothing but good," said one more person.

Following the backlash, Pink has since commented on the photo and said: "I'm relieved that most of you see the ridiculousness of the comment situation. Lord help us all."
