The actress compared her glamorous acting career and her homeline, admitting that they are worlds apart.
She said in the interview: ‘It’s weird because the two worlds are so different: from fishmongers to tea to film sets. But that’s the case for any actress who’s a mother.'
Kate says that despite being financially comfortable enough to hire help, she chooses to be more of a hands-on parent- unlike some of her showbiz peers.
She said: ‘Sure, I could have lots of people who do the cooking, the driving, all that jazz – but I would be unhappy.’
‘I wouldn’t want my children raised that way.’
In the interview Kate describes how she is in a lucky position to prioritise her family when it comes to her career due to her A-list status.
The director of her new film ‘Labor Day’ waited until Kate was able to take time off from family life to work on the movie.
Kate said: ‘Mothers who work full time – they’re the real heroes.’
Kate gave birth to third child, a son named Bear, in December. The baby is her first son with her third husband, Ned RocknRoll.
