With her glamour-girl looks and buxom 32GG bust, she may not seem to share that many similarities with iconic romantic comedy character Bridget Jones.
But as she faces her first Valentine’s Day alone in 11 years, Nicola McLean insists she has more in common with the unlucky-in-love singleton than you’d think.
The 33-year-old star called time on her five-year marriage to footballer Tom Williams, 34, last July after claims emerged he had been unfaithful while working in Las Vegas for his concierge business
Posing for Closer’s shoot this week, Nicola admits: “Oh, I’m so Bridget Jones! I’ve sat around my house in my pyjamas, swigging booze and sobbing to power ballads, just like her. I’ve wondered where it all went wrong with Tom. I still wonder now. I was so in love with him. I didn’t think we had any problems.”
She adds: “I don’t have any Valentine’s Day plans, but this past year has taught me you just have to go with the flow. If a man did want to woo me, I’d want sushi, champagne and red roses!”
And Nicola says despite being inundated with male attention, her most A list admirer to date is none other than Justin Timberlake…
